Scott Miller began investing his own portfolio in public equities upon graduating from Stanford Business School in 2000, beating the market by thousands of basis points annually for nearly a decade before finally accepting requests from friends and family to do the same for them.

This led to the development of Greenhaven Road Capital, a boutique investment management firm with the patience and confidence to step outside of the norm.

Scott’s experience in private equity and for-profit education has strongly influenced Greenhaven Road’s investing style, and is the source of our confidence to be contrarian, patient, and opportunity-focused.

- Scott cofounded an education company that grew to over 1,400 employees and $75M in revenue.  How many fund managers have that experience to draw on?  He also worked at a long/short hedge fund founded by principals who worked at Dan Loeb's Third Point and Eddie Lampert's ESL.

This combination of operating experience and traditional security analysis drives investment decisions at Greenhaven Road Capital where we invest as though it were our own money – because it is.
